Ebay’s BIG problem with hacked accounts

If you’re like me, you’re probably like the many millions of folks out there who only sell something on ebay once in a blue moon. Recently I decided to buy a new laptop and wanted to sell my perfectly good old laptop. I’ve sold things on ebay in the past, I have friends that have sold things on ebay in recent history, frankly it seems like the natural choice to make such a sale. I’m here to tell you that couldn’t be any further from reality!

Simple WordPress security

I’ve had to ward off the demons a few times since I host numerous sites through Moxune. Today was another one of those great starts, I awake to an e-mail from Rackspace… A production server had been rebooted for consuming too much swap space. Great! Dashing to the console I find my server sitting at a load of over 80! Of course, some bastard on the other side of the Internet is spamming  xmlrpc.php on my default website, which just so happens to be a WordPress site.
